Confused on the whole ext3-ext4 thing when it comes to backup/restore. I've been using ClockworkMod Recovery v5.0.2.0 for backups, but noticed the backup files have "ext3" in the filename (ex. system.ext3.tar). Since RLS 1 is ext4, if I use CWM to backup will it still restore these backups to ext4, or do they get restored to a ext3 file system??? Should I be using 4Ext Recovery instead of CWM?? Any input would be helpful!! Thanks!!!

Phone: Droid Incredible 2
OS Version: Gingerbread 2.3.5
Screen: SLCD
ROM: Incredible 2 HD RLS 1 by newtoroot
Radio: 1.09.01.0722
Recovery: 4EXT 2.2.7
I freakin dig 4ext. Seems more intuitive and convenient plus the controller app is awesome.
Same here, tons of options and very easy to use.
Noon question otw...
The ext4 thing is too new to me to have gotten a decent grasp of it. I understand what is and what it means, just no clue that it had its own recovery.
Can someone please point me to some info on the recovery?
Just purchased it after trying the free updater version you can get on the site. CWM is archaic compared to 4EXT. Definitely worth the $2.61!!![]()

Downloaded the Ext4 touch recovery finally. Am I supposed to reflash the ROM after the recovery is changed, or just let it go?
Don't need to do anything. You're fine. I mean if you really wanna do it go for it. LolOriginally Posted by trunzoc
