    Extremely unstable rezound

Hi there just wondering if anyone has seen this, or has an idea what may be going on.

My Rezound is extremely unstable after installing NeWts-OnE-XxX-S4-RC3-Signed.

I started out on a long run of Scotts Clean Rom, and currently S-On, after reading I should but I cant get back to Scotts Rom to run the procedure. Guessing it has to do with the Sense4_boot.img

So I started out clearing the cache (data, system, davalik) flashing the NeWts-OnE-XxX-S4-RC3-Signed zip, then flashing the Sense4_boot.img using the command provided.

Right now I can get Newts rom to boot, but 4g icon doesn't work, any use of data causes a reboot. Any attempt to call will work but freeze and restart at hang up. Any attempt to look at the SD card will result in a restart. So basically the phone is currently not use able.

Good morning, and it is. I'm now back to a locked stock phone, yes I had to go back to an ICS RUU. I'm planning on flashing this afternoon to try another shot at NeWts-OnE-XxX-S4-RC3-Signed zip. Any recomendations, anything I need to know aka must do

Do not flash RC3 it is very outdated and had a lot of problems.

You need RLS 3.1.2. Make sure you get that number right.

THEN load the rom, make sure it's running, reboot into recovery and flash the 3.2.1. Make sure you don't get the two mixed up.

That was my bad I was flashing - "NeWts-OnE-XxX-RLS-3-signed.zip" not RC3. Is this the correct file, then run the update for 3.2.1

I'm currently reading up on S-off and will do that first before trying this install.

Update: I was having issues with the timing of S-Off so I passed on that for now. Figure I can always go back to Rooted RUU if I want to try again. But since I'm not changing roms every other day, not to big of a deal to stay S-On

I flashed NeWts-OnE-XxX-RLS-3.1.2-Odex-signed.zip then flashed the boot.img provided on the instructions. I appear to be stable at the moment. How ever Waiting to flash the 3.2.1 update util I'm confident that everything is working 100%.

Ok So after searching I may be using the wrong boot.img file, and may be causing my wifi issues. Can some one verify.

On the Release page I downloaded and flashed the Sense4_boot.img by following the instructions.

I found this link and sounds exactly like what I am seeing, Wifi will just error out when starting (4g lte logo also shows no communication but I do have a connection)

The problem is all the links to the boot img for https://dl.dropbox.com/u/30190874/Fl...%20RLS2%2B.zip seem to be dead. (tried FF, Chrome, IE. on 2 different machines)

Can some one confirm that my suspicions are correct . and if so does anyone know where I can grab the correct boot.img

Never Mind. after giving in and posting I found the answer to my problem was to pull the boot.img out of the zip file. Wireless now is starting with no issues.

Awesome I'm glad you got everything up and running.

Now don't settle on the rom just yet cause Newt is releasing an update soon!

Awesome cant wait to give it a run.

Thought I would sum the steps I took just incase someone has the same issue while being S-On

If you are having trouble with getting a stable install give this a run
-A. Re-lock phone and install the stock ICS RUU for the rezound.
-B. After the RUU is installed, Unlock phone, and Flash your recovery of choice
    -C. Flash the NeWts-OnE-XxX-RLS-3.1.2-Odex-signed.zip
-D. While flashing, unzip the file on your computer and pull out the boot.img
-E. Flash the boot.img using you perfered method. I used the command Newt provided on the download page
-F. Boot phone and see how it goes. If you can get in and everything is stable. go ahead and flash the 3.2.1 update,
