[ROM][Kernel] 2.13.651.1 Stock Rooted - Based on Latest OTA (Odexed and Deodexed)

Hi Captain!

I'm new to this site but have been an xda member for some time now. I'm new to the HTC EVO world, I'm very familiar with Samsung phones, however I have to keep up with the EVO LTE as I've rooted and S-Off'ed my wife's phone. She's currently on 1.22.651.3 but want to update to the latest and greatest. As far as I'm understanding, I should flash the radio/firmware first from your other post.

The part that is confusing me is the OTA file. I don't really want to wipe the phone off, but update without touching Hboot. Since I have TWRP as the custom recovery and S-Off, am I able to just flash the OTA 1.22.651.3-2.13.651.1 (Rooted, firmware removed) you have provided? I'm not sure if that boot.img is needed to flash per your note. Again I truly apologize for the noobish questions. Any help would be extremely appreciated! Keep up the awesome work as well!

Quick question.... I'm having an issue with vanishing ringtones, notifications and pictures from my sd card (They're there, but the phone for some reason is not reading/finding them). I want to see if this problem gets solved by flashing a stock rom, but without loosing root and S-off. Is this the rom I should flash?

If ALL you've done is root the 1.22 stock ROM (i.e. no files in /system have been changed), flashing the OTA zip should work, followed by fastboot flashing the boot.img from the posted kernel (otherwise it won't boot).

If the OTA errors out, you can try just wiping cache/dalvik-cache/system and then flash the ROM. That will retain the previous settings/user data.

No ROM you flash will remove S-OFF. And since this is a rooted ROM, obviously you will have root.

You're going to need to supply a lot more info. What exactly did you do and what exactly is your phone doing?

ok i tryed to flash this the kernel and zimage file and it look that was going to work but when i rebot my phone stays in the htc screen w////// the red warning and keeps reboting to the same screen over and over thanks 4 the quick response

Well you aren't bricked. A brick is truly a brick, won't turn on or do anything.

What is your current setup? Root, s-off, hboot, rom, recovery, etc?

What rom? Are you trying to flash a rom? Have you tried fastbooting the kernel instead of flashgui app.

I was trying to flash the update for the stock Rom from Captain but needed the boot.IMG first I tried doing it w/ flash image GUI but didn't work so I took ur advice and fastboot it and it worked ...thanks nick1313 ...I had a noob moment of panic but u point me on the right direction..that did the trick.Sorry I didn't reply sooner.
