I agree. Unless your on WiFi, 4g, or really quick 3g, it is wretched. I'm not sure if its the html 5 that's the issue, though. That's why I'm almost anxious to see how it changes.

IMO they relied too much on webviews. With exception to the phone notifications, messages, and certain lists,the apk has to consistently display and update a website. They might as well shortcut to the browser and mobile site.

Honestly, I could care less. I enjoy theming it as a hobby more than using it. But when I do use it, I prefer to use mine....while drinking dos equis.

The WebViews are the HTML5 parts. And yes, it's basically just loading a website. It pretty much doesn't take advantage of the system hardware at all. We just learned all about this in my Android Dev class .

Well, thank you for the education. That makes a lot of sense. Please....get away from html 5! That'll allow a true inversion, too.

True that. Although, now that I think about it, HTML5 specifically may use some of the hardware (as opposed to previous HTML versions), but it definitely can't perform like a native app.

I really love this app. and have been using it for some time. What I hate is when theres a new Facebook update available the market keeps informing me of the update every time I turn on my phone. Since I always wait until this version by JF of the app is available I wonder how I can turn off the update notifications.

Lol. Thanks for the notification, I hadn't seen it yet. Unfortunately, it looks like more of the same garbage code. I was really hoping for them to release the native apk. Maybe I'm wrong, though. I won't have a chance to decomp for a bit. :fingerscrossed
