Yes Sir +1 . There are a ton of Junk batteries being sold. I currently have three really bad knock offs sitting in the drawer. They're supposed to be 1800mAh. They are actually 1200mAh to 1350mAh. Total junk. Long story short like jade said, you get what you pay for.

I totally agree with you. On the other hand, are actual HTC stock batteries still available out there at all? My original HTC stock has waned and really sucks, and this pair of knockoffs that came with the charger stink, but I don't know that HTC still makes and sells that battery do they?
I'd buy another if they did, until Samsung's GSIII got the 4GLTE part working properly in my market.
It's still pie-in-the-sky!
You can still get the original HTC EVO battery from Sprint. You can also still get the 2600mAh Extended battery. I remember seeing it on their site.

The Anker 1700 mAh batteries on amazon are awesome. I got the 2 pack with wall charger like 6 months ago and they are still going strong. Using the wall charger definitely seems to truly charge them to 100% and they seem to last longer, not immediately drop to 90 something percent shortly after pulling the phone off the charger.

Your Battery usually drops fairly quickly for the first 10% . THIS thread gives a fairly good explanation as to why.

Yes, I am aware of that but on my phone and didn't feel like typing out the whole explanation. That link is the best explanation I have seen though. But yeah, basically on a wall charger it doesn't keep switching between battery (there is no phone attached so no need to power anything) and charging. So you get a true 100% charge and my anecdotal evidence of battery life seems to demonstrate that using the wall charger does indeed make the phone last longer on that charge.
