Ok. I am tending to think it's the Bible app, unfortunately. It shows a wakelock, and I don't think I've opened it since my last reboot. Is using a task killer to kill it off advised against?

Just remove it and see if it helps. If not then you can put it back on. Task killers usually do more harm then good.

Yeah, I would stay away from those. See this article for more information about that. Maybe check out the other app I recommended. It shows how much of a wakelock each app had.

OK, so far, after having flashed MoreFreedom, it appears to be a bit better....this after about 3-5 days after having flashed it.

Sounds good. Do you still have a wakelock (solid blue line)?

Well, after about 3-4 days after having flashed the kernel, all had been working fairly well. However last week, a few times for whatever reason, my phone sort of "rebooted" and went to the white screen. The HTC EVO 4G screen, like it does upon rebooting. It didn't seem to fully power off and reboot, but when it came back the battery power had dropped precipitously. At one point I had 47% before the reboot and then like 3% just seconds after it came back! Another time I had 81% I think, then it did this and rebooted and came back and I had like 45%!! What could or would cause this?
Any ideas? Does that seem like a flaw with the battery that such a spike would occur? I had not experienced that before.

And no, not now I don't. It's not completely solid, but fragmented in parts. Is this a good thing?

    Fragmented is good.

As for your other issue, have you tried a different battery? That does seem kind of wacky.

+1 on both of those statements. It sounds like your battery may be going.

Despite the fact that the original stock battery seems to have waned in long term power, it still seems better than those two knockoffs. The knockoffs were very good up until the point that I switched ROMs. Not sure if that's coincidence, or if there was some part of the processor in the ROM change that weakened them. I do acknowledge that they are cheap. $10 for two of them.
